Also don't forget to try to look really quiet in the morning if the washroom idea is going to be attempted. Lastly, try to only use it on occasions and try to only be in there for an hour or so if only doing it once once started, or try to go to the washroom often (like at least 10 times for 10 minutes each time or so throughout your shift).

One other thing you could've mentioned was try and take your time in the washroom by taking a while to get out. This is a good way to waste your time and uses up most of your time on the clock before you are suppose to be off for the day. If someone puts you on the spot by questioning you on why you were in there for so long then just come up with an excuse saying that you were sick or might be coming down with something or were having a discomfort in the abdomen area. No one would really question you if this was the case then you might ended up having to leave earlier before your shift is over or you might just be able to get away with not working as hard or not as fast as you could have been. So this is a good way to slack off afterwards.

Well thats great advice if you work in an office. I do agree with the tactic of staying invisible, but I'm not lucky enough to have a job that's easy to slack off at. I decided to get any job I could after being layer off so I landed in a warehouse throwing pet food on a pallet for 12 hours a day. I am inspired by the fact that unemployment is about 2 years now if I lose my job now. I should've gone that route. the only thing I'd ne losing is my healthcare which is too expensive anyway. I can't really slack because they have imposed a production number we all have to hit, so, I think i'll get myself fired instead. I'd be making about the same money, its a no brainer. thanks.

This reminds me of a Seinfeld episode where George was trying to look busy at work so he acted angry/frustrated whenever someone came into his office. His reasoning was that if you looked angry, it must be because of something you were working on, even if it was just a crossword puzzle.

Good post; I enjoyed it!

@Nicki - Ha! Well, that's another one! I think some people hide in the bathroom from time-to-time.

Now that was funny!

@Craig - The Internet can certainly suck the time out of your day and I think it is one that is widely used.

@Positively - Glad you appreciated the humor in my post!

@Jens - Remember the episode of Friends where Rachel took up smoking because she was missing out on all the important discussions? I thought of that when I was writing this up.

Thanks for your comments!
