@Monica – I’ve never tried snowboarding, but it looks fun. Maybe I’ll get a chance someday.

@Sara – Ahh, smores! We love roasting marshmallows and hotdogs over the campfire. There’s nothing better than cooking over an open flame!

I would love to go camping–it really does bring out a different side of life. And the smores aren’t half bad either!

I also like the idea of choosing a destination and going there with no plan. Just explore, discover, and make arrangements as you go. Whether I ever do this or not is another question!

What a great list, you totally brought the kid out in me again remembering all these sports I used to do! Obviously it’s time for us to get into the fun again. I miss wakeboarding and snowboarding…they’re so much fun! I’d love to try kayaking along the inlets on the west coast. Hope you have a fun filled day.

@FFB – I love planning mini-adventures because they do wake me up!

@Glen – It is easy to get in a rut and forget to plan some recreation for yourself. I hope this jogs more people’s memories and challenges them to have some fun!

@Moneyblogga – I spent a little time paddling around a local wildlife preserve this past weekend. Kayaking is a hoot!

@Evelyn – I used to wakeboard, but I sold my boat and board a couple of years ago. I just couldn’t justify the expense. For awhile there we were going out almost every weekend. I love getting out on the water!

@FD – I can relate. Sometimes it takes a little effort to find things you like to do close to where you live. However, it is worth it. There is nothing like a little time in the great outdoors to put a smile on your face!
