I've told my cousin the same thing (he's graduated from HS). Enjoy life and don't be scared to make mistakes. If you don't make mistakes you're not trying. Learn from mistakes and be a better person. Not sure about traveling and seeing the world though. I especially agree with pursuing your dream, and think that all new grads should take the time to explore what they really want then develop goals to achieve it. If I had done this I would have saved myself a decade! Also, you are dead on about traveling while you have no responsibilities. You may have less money to spend, but there is no major downside. What do you have to lose? Put your things in the parents attic and hit the road. Just make sure you are paying your own way.
