I have a lot to say about David Cook. He is a pretty cool guy. He won me over after a shaky start and I’m looking forward to his success.

Really neat the way you were able to weave a pop culture thing into an attitude we all need to have. I love the “overnight success” thing, too. No one is an overnight success. Most of them will say it took 20 years to become an overnight success!

@B Smith – I’ll admit I watched some of Idol this year. I’m not an avid fan, but I like it because it is a way to join in on something that my wife and daughter enjoy. I’ll blame it on them.

Jeff-Great post, though I’m going to hold it against you that you watch Idol!

Winners are made before they step on stage. If you ask most success stories when they hit it big they say the same thing. “I was successful long before I made it big.”

And I like the part about how good winning feels. You don’t realize it until you get your turn to step up and grab the trophy. It is something that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
