I signed papers to purchase a Ford Escape, planned to pay cash, left a $300 deposit. I can't afford insurance rates of $150 per month. Can I back out of deal? Signed papers about two weeks ago. Car was not special ordered, it was on the lot.

Great post, Melissa. I've recently discovered blogging as a hobby. It seems to meet most of your criteria: cheap (actually free), interesting and I can do it at home (or at the coffee shop). It's addictive, therapeutic and might even make me some money (although not enough to give up my day job)! Thanks for sharing! Geoff

well... i tried paying cash and not do credit... still for some reason i still buy things i don't need... only this time it's a bit limited... just today i bought some fisher price toys which practically a 32 year old guy won't need... but since i am getting it really rock bottom cheap, i got them and put them in the cabinet and enjoyed watching them for awhile... good thing i don't get sucked up with the same thing over and over... i'm not a total hoarder... but chances are, when i see a price that i think is reasonable regardless if i needed it or not, that's when i lose the logic of saving

Hi there,

My motivation was basically the realisation that at that point my life couldn't get any worse - so it might as well all start getting better at the same time!

It's pretty much that simple.

Nice article..Best is the first point..we should control our emotions and try to keep the things under our control. However by paying cash, i had one difference and that is if we can keep control on our self then why shouldn't we pay by cards and use the money without interest till our billing date of credit card.?
