I would suggest that personal-development writers avoid using the word ordinary with a negative connotation. There is nothing inherently negative about being ordinary: the world is being used incorrectly. It might make expressing gratitude for the positive more difficult for readers who believe their life is “only ordinary.” Lastly, imagine everyone implemented what you suggest in your blog–if everyone did, then we would all be “ordinary,” wouldn’t we?
