Thanks so much. This is just what I needed. I am a full-time employee and full-time student. I was planning on putting off a pro-spay/neuter speech I’m scheduled to give next Monday at a city council meeting. The meeting is televised, as many are. I’ve been making the rounds, trying to reach as many as I can. Shelters and rescue groups are swelling with surrendered pets because of the poor economy/foreclosure crisis. Even when the economy is booming, millions of dogs and cats are euthanized in the US each year. After reading your article. I will be there, Monday. I am focusing on the end result: stopping the slaughter. You are making a difference.

@Beth - thanks a lot for the comment, you're welcome @Bengt - possibly, but that would imply we are on the wrong path (which happens). If this is the case, some 'passion' or 'life purpose' exercises might be in order. @The Weakonomist - thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I hope everything works out for you in regards to your job. You never know, things might just work out in a completely different way to what you expected but also in a way that benefits you. @Christopher - Definitely, it's like people who complain that their flight is an hour late.
