@Ron – You are right. It seems the economy and the election are all we are hearing about these days.

Didn’t they have a little hurricane down in Houston and Galveston? Whatever happened to those people? You don’t seem to hear about it much on the news.

Thanks for the great links! I am so grateful to be just starting out on my financial journey at age 21. I have no debt... and hardly any savings. I am not in the negative, but also have nothing to lose. @FFB – I agree that a lot of what brought on this crisis is a total lack of personal responsibility. In some ways, I wonder if a recession would be good for this country. It might teach people to be more conservative with their finances.

Donuts for Dad sounds great. It's nice that you could spend time with your daughter like that. The economy is a bit screwy now but a lot of what will fix it starts on the smaller level with the people. Our core values need to be aligned with proper economic goals.
