		<description>Great post! Thank you for sharing it, I specially loved your post about fear removing rationality. Yes when we are fearful we forget to see things clearly and therefore we sometimes get clouded with our judgement. Fear is a good thing if it used in a good way, too much of it can be devastating.</description>

		<description>@Scott - You are right. It is very inspiring when you got on the other side of fear. I also find that it makes me fear other things less.

@Nicki - Sounds like a great topic for group discussion. On a side note, I often find that planning out of fear means that I am often planning without a true sense of reality which leads to less wise decisions.

@Happiness is better - That is some great action, joining Toastmasters in the face of your public speaking fear is an amazing step. Great job. Sometimes baby steps are good too, but that is a giant leap! Good luck.

@Christopher.  Hope it helps.

		<description>I choose to not be afraid of public speaking anymore so I&#039;m taking the bull by the horns and I&#039;ve joined Toastmasters.

I like that you mention action as an ingredient in over coming fear. It&#039;s amazing how many things we can overcome by taking action.

Great post!

		<description>I actually taught a Sunday School lesson on fear and trust yesterday. It said basically this, fear can produce two reactions:

1. Prudent planning
2. Lost joy and crippling paralysis

		<description>Very interesting and timely post Happy Rock!

I think everyone has fears and the economic climate we are living through right now is probably intensifing some.

I know that upon facing my own fears I come out the other end of the tunnel feeling fresh and inspired having defeated fear.

Fear is a deep rooted emotion that can and does destroy lives so it&#039;s good to have a plan of action that you so well layed out.

Thanks!
