Great article. Martial arts are great for teaching you to learn from your failures and also to recognize gradual progress.

Ah, patience is one of those things I tend to have trouble with. I see the big picture, and I want it now - being told to wait frustrates me.

Big ideas are ready to go. : )

Thanks so much for the opportunity to publish this article with you!

@ Miranda, Christopher - Thank you! Glad you enjoy it.

@ Gennaro - Learning from mistakes is tough. There's a lot of self awareness that's needed to really evaluate yourself and a lot of ego that needs to be let go of. But if you can do that you can learn from your mistakes which is valuable to grow. I've seen people all of the time wondering why they are in a certain situation time and again and the fact is they can't realize they keep putting themselves in the situation. They can't see the mistake they keep making.

Learning from mistakes is the toughest to accomplish. We often want to deny them or forget them quickly. It's also where wisdom comes from...learning from our mistakes.

Great post! A very good illustration of what can happen if you consistently practice small ways to improve your finances. I especially like the emphasis on the fact that you are not likely to make it rich overnight. Persistence is key.
