Very true, we can either live life in high definition or in black and white.

One extra point I'd add is that in living fully, we actually generate more enthusiasm and so more energy. And the more fully we live the more things that interest and excite us. And so it creates a greater momentum.

For me, this is a process that I have really only begun the last few months. After living the first 30 years of my fantastic life, I had a bit of an epiphany a couple months back. I decided I had more to offer than my "day job" career in engineering (which I enjoy). Like you, I have found a rewarding outlet in the development of my own blog. I look forward to spreading that creativity with my guest post here tomorrow!

Thanks for helping with me with my journey to Smart Living, Jeff!

Hi, thanks for this and the quote. I like Henry David Thoreau and enjoy reading his poetry.

However, I don't get this metaphor of "having a song in your head while going to your grave".

What does this really mean? Can you explain?
